Fatmir Sejdiu said he doesn’t bear grudge to Romania, in spite of our official stand toward Kosovo’s independence. The newly elected president saluted our journalists with a „Viva Romania!”
Sejdiu, aged 57, clearly stated that what happened in Kosovo cannot, serve as a model to anyone. Furthermore, Fatmir Sejdiu is convinced that Romania will eventually reconsider the position toward Kosovo, and that the relationship between the two countries will get better.
Kosovo’s president mentioned that the declaration of independence does not mean that the unification with Albany is the next step. „These scenarios come in fact from those who do not recognize Kosovo’s independence”, Sejdiu said.
At the end of the interview Fatmir Sejdiu saluted EVZ’s journalists with „Viva Romania” as if he was expecting an echo like “Viva Kosovo!”, from Bucharest.
