BICHIR: “The NATO summit hasn't even begun, and several young anarchists are already heading for Bucharest.”
Six German citizens – two women and four men – with ages between 21 and 35 years old who are members of an anarchist organization, were stopped from coming to Bucharest.
The customs officers at Calafat discovered hundreds of flyers with messages like „I want to fight NATO 2-4 April Bucharest“ or „Women’s international league for peace and freedom“. The Germans also had hundreds of anti-globalizing CD’s, magazines and badges.
The Romanian authorites decided not to allow them to enter Romania but four of them persisted and tried to cross the border at Giurgiu customs point. They were sent back to Bulgaria.
The word “anarchy” originates from greek and means “without a master”. Anarchism is an ideology and political movement that claims the destruction of the state, which is seen as the main source of human exploitation. Thus, the anarchism destroys an edifice in order to raise another.
Order is replaced by the order that originates from freedom. The anarchist current had different approaches over the years: Communist-Anarchism, Ecologist, Feminist, etc. Most of the anarchists do not stand the idea of globalization, authority, capitalism, hierarchy, property. In fact, they don’t agree with most of the things we take for granted and dream of a world in which everybody acts according to their feelings.
So it was almost natural that Romania would be confronted to such temptations, after entering the European Union.
I’m not afraid of the Romanian anarchists because it’s in our nature to mock everything. Was there a single ideology that we haven’t mocked? The anarchists from beyond our borders are the real deal, the pedigree ones who live by their beliefs after so many years of capitalism.
However, the anarchist protest is rather curious now, because no occult organizationsi like Bildeberg Group, the Council for Foreign Affairs or the Trilateral Commission are due to meet at Bucharest. It’s just a meeting of a military alliance, that’s what NATO stands for. One would have seen Muslim protest for the Iraqi cause, or for Afghanistan, rather than some anarchists..
An anti-NATO protest took place just last year in the Moldavian capital of Chisinau. The Congress leader of the Russian Communities said: “we are peaceful people and do not wish that Moldavia’s peaceful lands to be stepped over by NATO boots”. Also, in Kiev, some 1.000 communists shouted: “Stop NATO’s aggression”. “The people of Ukraine, Russia and Byelorussia are united”, “Admission to NATO means betrayal of the memory of our dead”, “The New World Order wants us to be slaves” and “Will we get to feed NATO’s soldiers?”. And as the anarchists said: “Who wants to fight NATO?”
