Louis Vuitton is the most valuable luxury brand in the world, according to a study made by the company Millward Brown and presented by "Forbes" magazine.
It is worth 25.74 million dollars, a "bargain" if we compare this sum with the value of the most powerful brand in the world, Google - 86.1 billion dollars. Louis Vuitton reported in the first trimester of the actual year incomes of about 2.8 billions euro, 7% more than in the same period of 2007.
The company's performances are owed mainly to the request from the developing markets, like Russia, China, India, where millionaires are growing in number every day. With more money, these buy luxury products to show their welfare, thinks an analyst from the investments bank Gruppo, Levey & Co.
"The luxury brands are doing very well, because they have a high emotional loyalty level", thinks Nikhil Gharekhan, senior vice president at Millward Brown.
The ranking was made by questioning of more than a million customers across a period of time, on the image they have about luxury brands and on their expectations from these brands. Also, it was taken into account the value in dollars of each company. The majority of the luxury brands are originally from France and Italy, country renowned for their tradition in the fashion industry.
Luxury brands are coming in Romania
The first Louis Vuitton shop in Romania will be opened in Bucharest at the ground floor of the JW Marriot Hotel. Hermes also takes into consideration the possibility of closing a concession partnership on the Romanian market. Another famous luxury bran that wants to make bussines directly in Romania is Gucci. This year, the company will open a shop in Romania, probably on Calea Victoriei, in Bucharest.
