CONTRACT. The Minister of Transport, Ludovic Orban, announced Saturday that the contract for the highway Arad-Timisoara with the constructor firm will be signed on 20 September.
"In 18 august were opened the bids submitted by the seven companies interested in this project. We have already examined several of them and we think that will respect the announced term", said Ludovic Orban. "I would not like to announce an unreal date to begin work. Certain is that towards the end of the month we will have the constructor, the financing is secured, but there are some steps to be taken after signing the contract", said Orban. The highway Arad-Timisoara will be almost 50 kilometers long, and the scheduled investment is of 270 million. The deadline set for the completion of the works is 30 months from the start. The Minister of Transport argued with the workers who he has found on the site of the road belt around Timişoara.
