Private roads

From the total of 2200 kilometers of highway which will be built in Romania, approximately 1400 kilometers will be licensed by the state.

The solution of the licensing is a modern one, used also in countries like Austria, France or Italy. Ludovic Orban hopes that until 2013 we will be able to make the main highway network in Romania.

The state will give the right to different companies to build and offer maintenance services including on the Bucharest-Pitesti and Bucharest-Constanta highways.

At the European Commission there are being settled the priority axes for the European transport corridors. The negotiations with our authorities could not convince the Europeans that Romania must be included on these corridors. So far we got no answer, but the negotiations will last until 2010.
