Mystery Virus Hits Village In South-Eastern Romania

For over three weeks, children in Barbulesti village complain of stomach aches.

Families in Barbulesti village are worried after some 300 children with ages between 1 and 10 years  started complaining of abdominal pain .

37  of them were considered serious cases and were admitted urgently at “Matei Bals” Institute in Bucharest where specialists undergo testing to discover the viral agent.

The local Health Care department took samples from 40 wells in the area and samples from all the children afflicted  by the mystery virus but result will only come out in ten days.

  However, specialists think  that the water in the nearby wells may have become infected with the virus
