Suspended by Traian Basescu from his job, the ex Minister of Communications is not finished yet.
Marko Bela said yesterday that Nagy Zsolt remains a candidate for the European parliament elections, even if his position is contested by Laszlo Tokes, with whom Marko will meet on Monday to convince him to accept the candidacy on the UDMR list.
Until an answer from the reformed bishop, the Union is preparing people for Strasbourg, two people who are ministers at the moment, Iuliu Winkler (Communications) and Attila Korodi (Environment).
The order in which our colleagues will participate on the list can change and also other people might be included. We considered that the independent candidacy of Tokes might really harm the UDMR list, regarding the percentage obtained at the elections. Although I think we could reach the 5% threshold, we do not want to take any chances”, Marko said.
