Mircea Geoana is asking the government to apply the laws initiated by the Nastase government in 2004 campaign, through which they were giving certain facilities to the pensioners.
The first of the laws to which the PSD president is referring said that the pensioners who do not use their reduction CFR tickets should receive money instead.
The second was settling compensation in case one of the partners died of 25% of the deceased’s pension.
Although the laws were delayed until 2008, officials of the Ministry of Economy and Finances do not exclude a new delay.
The two ordinances the PSD leader wishes to put into practice were Basescu’s arguments in saying that increasing the pensions was an election bluff without any budget covering.
