The natural gas suppliers are pressuring the Romanian authorities for yet another rise in the gas price. National Authority for Energy Regulation (ANRE) says Romanians could face higher prices beginning with the 1st of April.
It seems already that every month now, the main gas suppliers ask higher prices to the consumer from the National Authority for Energy Regulation (ANRE).
Thus, Distrigaz Sud has started negotiations for a new rise in prices that might follow in the second trimester. The last price change was enough for food makers to rise the prices for their products and even several fertilizing companies have closed up due to the higher costs of gas. Also, E.ON Gas asked for a 10 percent rise in the price for the incoming month.
The last rise, of 8,5 percent, was applied on the 1st of February, when the local producers rose the prices by 1,5 percent. Currently, the price stands at 267,39/1000 cubic meters of gas.
