The monthly inflation from June, the level of expenses compared to the previous month, of 0.28%, was the smallest of the last year.
But, on the other hand, the yearly inflation (June 2008, compared to June 2007) was of 8.61%, close to the maximum of the last two years, of 8.63%, recorded in March. The highest expenses, recorded last month, were for fresh fruits: with 7.77%. As in the previous month, the aliments were the most explosive, the prices of alimentary products have increased with 0.32%.
Other expenses that we have felt in June are: oil (2.26%), pork meat (1,96%) and beef (1.1%). The price of bread grew with 0.16%. On the other hand, a series of aliments are cheaper. It's about beans, potatoes, milk, dairy products and eggs. The price of the non alimentary merchandises advanced with 0.28%, the largest expense, of 1.26%, being recorded for fuels.
The prices for services had the lowest advance, with only 0.19%, being supported by the decrease of the prices for airplane tickets and phone calls. "The inflation evolved well, according to the expectations. We are estimating that in July, the annual inflation will reach 9.6%, and then it will drop. Maybe in August and September we will register a slight deflation", said Ionut Dumitru, the head of the research department of Raiffeisen Bank, quoted by Mediafax.
