8 million Euros were spent by the municipality to repair the centre, but also to install a musical fountain.
After a year since the beginning of the modernization, the new centre was inaugurated yesterday by the mayor Antonie Solomon. The people of Craiova were displeased in the beginning as the degree of discomfort rose to a high level and also the finish date was over passed with half a year.
The final costs of the entire construction were estimated to 8 million Euros, with which 4 ha of mosaic were paved and 5 fountains were built or repaired. In winter, the mayor announced that the new center inauguration will be made in a grandiose way; one of the personalities invited was Andrea Bocelli.
As the time passed, the mayor forgot to bring the tenor to Craiova but announced a famous replacement: Tudor Georghe will sing for us as only he knows how to do it.
