The president Traian Basescu, did not manage to buy an encyclopedia worth 600 lei at Bookfest yesterday, not because the stock was out, but because he did not have enough money.
Because he did not want to give up the book in front of the cameras, the president asked for it to be sent at Cotroceni, and he promised to pay afterwards.
Dressed casually, the president visited the Romexpo stands, after which he participated at the launching of the volume “Refuzul de a uita”, by Vladimir Tismaneanu.
The president took interest in some English books appeared at Encyclopaedia Britannica, among which „Enciclopedie a guvernarii si a politicii” and „Enciclopedie de stiinta si tehnica”.

People close to the president said hat he could have paid on the spot, but he did not want to be seen counting money in front of the camera, so that’s why he asked for the book to be sent to Cotroceni.
