Starting this weekend until the end of August, million of Romanians will charge the frontiers to spend their holidays abroad.
Although the traveling conditions are better after the adhering to UE, many Romanians don’t know the rules, the most important ones being the problems related to the documents for the minors.
The frontier policemen will allow a child to travel to EU if the following requirements are met:
1. He is registered in both parents’ passports or he has an individual passport (or identity card), and he is traveling with his parents.
2. He is registered in one of the parents’ passport or he has an individual passport (or identity card), and he is traveling with one of his parents. In this case the other parent must give an authenticated statement that he has agreed to this travel.
3. The minor who has an individual passport (or identity card), and he is traveling with an adult (other than his parents), can leave the country if the person with him has the following documents: A. A authenticated declaration signed by both parents B. The criminal record C. If the minor is traveling alone, he must be supervised by a company employee, who must also present at the border a signed declaration by both parents.
