The good practices code will be signed today

Agreement. The good practices code that settles the rules between suppliers and retailers will be signed today.

The agreement between the large retailers and suppliers will lead to a decrease in the aliments prices, in supermarkets and smaller shop networks, according to Sorin Minea, president of Romalimenta. The good practices code will be valid only after the Competition Council will give its notice. After the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the taxes perceived by the supermarkets - which will not be imposed and can be negotiated -, but also over the penalties which will be payed by both parties if the contracts are not respected. The project was improved with two new points - one about the discount, which will be included in the price list, and another referring to the bonus, which represents a prize in case the retailer surpasses the target sales.
