Fraud. The customers of Raiffeisen Bank were the target of a phishing attack.
They were advised to introduce a part of the figures from the credit cards to verify the validity of the account access, under the pretext that the security team of the bank discovered an attempt of fraud through internet. Then, the customers of the bank are asked to enter the user code and password, and the last 8 figures of the 16 written on credit cards. The Raiffeisen representatives confirmed the attack and stated that they have discussed with the internet services supplier to block the access through this breach, according to Mediafax. The bank sustains that it never asks for informations from the clients in this way.
