Grivco, a company belonging to "Felix" or Dan Voiculescu earns millions of euro from the energy taken from the energy plant at Rovinari, as a broker between the state and….the state!
Dan Voiculescu made energy dealings on the market during the ruling of PSD and the first years of the current ruling .
Grivco company(owned by Voiculescu) signed some of the more advantageous contracts for taking over energy from the Rovinari state-owned energy complex, for prices well below the free market.
The cheap electricity bought by Voiculescu from the state was sold to the state but at a much higher price , according to documents revealed by EVZ.
Through the signed contracts Dan Voiculescu’s company purchased energy worth $10 million and sold it with huge profits. Voiculescu’s company received the contract from direct negotiation and not through public bid, as the state laws require it .
The first public contract between Grivco and Rovinari was signed in December 2004 and was valid for one year.
Thus , Grivco purchased 262,800 de megawatts hour (MWh)between 2004-2005 for a price of 42.6 $. The price negotiated by Grivco through the contract with Rovinari was lower than the average market price in 2004.
The contract’s total value was $11.2 million.
