The appreciation of the leu might prove unsustainable, but BNR prefers that the currency stabilize itself, said Mugur Isarescu for Reuters.
Isarescu also clarified the details regarding the declarations made last week having as theme the BNR intervention on the currency market:” as long as it is not absolutely necessary not to interfere with the market, BNR would prefer that the currency stabilize itself”.
Today or tomorrow the leu quotation might come back to 3.2 lei for an euro, said the manager of the research team at Reiffeisen Bank. It is clear that the appreciation of the leu in the last period is unsustainable, as it has no economical fundament.
