Constitution Court Supports President's Activities

Constitution Court ruled that President Traian Basescu has the right to intervene within Romanian public and political  life so that state  institutions can function well.

Constitution Court ruled against all the charges brought against President Traian Basescu’s actions.

Within the notification sent to the Parliament, judges from the Constitution found no breaches of the Constitution that would justify suspending Basescu .

On the contrary, the interventions with public and political life that were brought against hi, can be explained through the active role which the President must have to monitor and guarantee a good functioning of the state institutions.

“Monitoring and guaranteeing the well functioning of eth state cannot be done through passiveness” , concludes the report sent to the Parliament.
