"He was our God"

"He was our God"

The words of Teoctist’s nephew are shared by the believers who pass near the patriarch’s catafalque. On a small rain, the believers started to go up the Bishopric Hill in the first hours of the morning.

The crowd came since Tuesday night where the patriarch’s body lay and lit candles and kissed the hand of him who was their spiritual parent.

Few people stayed up all night for the watching; Maria Moraru, who came from Ploiesti, takes her wheelchair and prepares for the morning ceremony. She hopes to get some hly bread, as she did not get to eat anything.

Priests and believers from all over the country  are going to participate to the funerals tomorrow. A bus with 50 priests from Ploiesti will leave for the funeral tomorrow morning.
