The next type from the Dacia series will be a SUV, already photographed in camouflage during tests by the Czech website auto.cz.
The type could take over the transmission from Nissan X-Trail. The future SUV, which will be launched at the end of next year, will be the most expensive type from the series and will cost up to 15.000 euro.
According to the Czech website, the SUV type will be developed from Sandero, and not from Logan - like it was rumored until now. In the case of Sandero, the car producer gave up the sharp lines of Logan. Sandero's outline is rounder and more modern, in order to attract younger customers.
The crossover is just one of the four variants that are going to be developed on the Mioveni platform until 2012. According to sources, the Logan series could be enlarged with a minivan. Representatives of the Renault Design Center in Romania admitted the possibility that the third type to be even a buggy.
Dacia launched, until now, five versions of the Logan type, the MCV, VAN, Pick-up and Sandero.
Logan sales at the world level passed a million units from the type's launch in 2004. The car is currently sold in 59 countries.
