The offers promoted by the airlines present from the Romanian market until a few months ago are fewer every day.
The representatives of the low cost and classical companies admit that they have spaced out the offers, especially because of the supplementary costs which appeared after the increase of oil prices. "In the entire world, airlines have raise the ticket prices, but we have tried to maintain the prices to a reasonable level", said the representatives of some low cost companies.
If until a few weeks ago, on the websites of companies like Blue Air were present tens of offers to tickets of 1 euro plus airport taxes, now the company is barely applying this kind of offers for two destinations. The airplane tickets for European destinations like Paris, Barcelona or Rome, which could be purchased at 40-50 euro with taxes, now are raising up to 100 euro with taxes, even for the flights scheduled in 2-3 months. The autumn, a difficult period
"Those who have scheduled their holidays already reserved the tickets. In the autumn we are usually confronting a low loading factor and that is why we have to cover our costs", said Wizz Air representatives. According to official datas released by the European Airline Companies Association, in April the air passenger traffic grew with only 1% in Europe, a serious slowdown of the growth rate. Classic airlines like Tarom, Lufthansa or Air France gave up their season offers as well.
In order to attract new customers, in the conditions in which the ticket prices id no longer attractive, the airlines are betting on a series of other services. Wizz Air launched a transport service for its passengers from the airport to the center of the cities.
