African-American Basket Players Discriminated In Romania

US African -American  Basket ball player, Darnell Clavon, playing for  CSU Sibiu, told about his experiences in Romania at a seminar on racial discrimination .

Darnell Clavon is 34 years old and came to Romania three years ago to play for CSU Sibiu.

Since then, he went through a few situations in which he considers that he was racially discriminated  because of the color of his skin but he said that overall he did not feel that inside his team or outside it.

”I had a few problems. Especially when I was seen talking to a white girl or even on the field by the other team’s players. I was offended especially by last year’s champion. They called me black monkey or even  “the crow””, Darnell Clavon told the press.
