Already with a delay of several months, the Ministry of Finance and has fulfilled the promise to collect in a register all the non-fiscal taxes existing in Romania.
This after a report by the World Bank showed that in Romania are approximately 400 parafiscal taxes, much more numerous than in other states, many of them illegal. So far have been gathered only 115 taxes perceived by the central government, following that the local administrations and those subordinate to the parliament to communicate in the future the information needed to supplement the table. Meanwhile, the Minister of Finances, Varujan Vosganian, announced that general consolidated budget registered a deficit of 0.64% of gross domestic product (GDP) for the first seven months of the year, decreasing over the indicator for the first six months, respectively 1.12%. "July's incomes represent a record for the last two decades", said Vosganian. According to him, the country's GDP has registered an advance of 8.6% in the first half, fueled by economic growth of 8.9% in the second quarter. "This value is also an absolute record for the past twenty years", said the minister. He estimated that Romania's GDP will increase to 220 billion euros by 2012, standing at a double value in 2020.
Also, Vosganian said that the new budgetary correction will take place this autumn, at the end of September or October.
