The monk’s statement contradicts that of the spokesman of the Romanian Patriarchy said that the child’s parents are not part of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
The monk, torn between his vows to God and his fatherly love said he cannot lie but he hopes this will not ruin the Church’s image or credibility which is more important .
