Ioana Lupea: "Mizil has the chance to rehabilitate the constitutional principle of equality of all before the law without discrimination and without privileges."
Only the voters from Mizil can send Adrian Nastase in court. On their shoulders will fall the responsibility of the corruption case of the former Prime Minister, after a group of parliamentarians has broken, politically, an act of justice. While Adrian Nastase will be elected, will benefit from immunity and protection from his accomplice colleagues in front of the law. Without the votes of the people from Mizil, the former PM will be forced to respond before prosecutors and judges. Only thus we will find out if he is the victim of a political revenge, as he claimed, or a corrupt politician. The vote from Mizil will be for truth or lies, one of those moments in which citizens can show their willingness and power. The defeat would make a service to the former Prime Minister, giving him a chance to demonstrate that he is an innocent victim of the war with Traian Băsescu where, after its own words, justice is made: in the court room.
Adrian Nastase will not resign from the parliament as he threatens us that he will proceed in early September his party and criminal investigations comrade, Miron Mitrea. Which shows that the former PM is not even the great politician that everyone believe he is. While Miron Mitrea applys the successful scheme of Traian Băsescu, putting himself at the disposal of the investigators, Adrian Nastase is covering with the judgement of the Chamber of Deputies, which compromises him even more. Miron Mitrea can do before the electorate at least a proof of good faith, if not of his honor as minister of the PSD government. The dossier "Fleet" is a blank bullet that the head of state was sufficiently able to drop his parliamentary immunity, attitude rewarded by the voters with confidence and votes. Adrian Nastase can't pose as the victim, and this seems to be the only card that he will play. It will be his word against the word of his future adversaries, and, the argument that he evaded the investigation. He placesin their hands the sword with which they can cut off his chances for a new mandate.
Mizil has no political color. If it will be voted correctly, voters in the little town from Prahova may decide at the turnout what the state institutions didnţt managed during the past four years. A simple gesture will fix the guilty decision taken yesterday by 150 Members of PSD, PC, and probably PRM. It will show that these parliamentarians can not act forever against the wishes and interests of the voters. It will throw in shame the absurd decision of the Constitutional Court which gives the former ministers parliamentarians immunity that the ordinary parliamentarians no longer qualify. And, above all, the voters from Mizil have the chance to rehabilitate the constitutional principle of equality of all before the law "without privileges and without discrimination". The inhabitants Mizil could give the big blow to Adrian Nastase: to transform him into simple citizen.
