Russian Federation warns our newspaper! The long hand of Moscow will reach Bucharest! Adresa Juridică Federația Rusă sursa: arhiva Evz

Russians are famous for their arrogance and callousness. An attitude with historical valences. Especially when it comes to peoples or nations that they consider to be in their sphere of influence, like at the time of the Warsaw Pact. And the Russian Federation considers itself the heir of the USSR, so it has no emotion to send harsh warnings to Bucharest.

We received an official address from Roskomnadzor, the agency of the Russian Federation that deals with press censorship in the Russian Federation, established by Vladimir Putin in 2007. It suddenly shows interest in the protection of the personal data of the invaders, coming with the request to delete the data personal data of a Russian army colonel killed in a firefight during the invasion of Ukraine. Invoking Russian legislation!

The Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media,[a] abbreviated Roskomnadzor (RKN) (Russian: Roskomnadzor [RKN]), is the Russian federal executive agency responsible for monitoring, controlling and censoring the Russian media. Its areas of responsibility include electronic media, mass communications, information technology and telecommunications, the supervision of compliance with the law, the protection of the confidentiality of personal data being processed and the organization of the work of the radio frequency service. Initially, I did not pay attention to this email address, I was amused by its obvious absurdity, then seeing that we had no reaction, they also sent it to us by mail, with confirmation of receipt. We read it more carefully and decided to make it public. Because I find it primarily a threat. Then a display of hypocrisy worthy of the annals of history. Invading a country and being disturbed that the personal data, photo and military record of a Russian army colonel killed in action appear is an example of a parallel universe in which Russians live under the Kremlin Tsar. Especially since they are very little bothered by the civilian victims of the savage bombings they subject Ukraine to.

And everything is done in the name of respecting "human and civil rights and liberties with regard to the processing of personal data, including the protection of the right to private and family life". That's what it says in the address, that's how we read it! Although it is incredible.

How a representative of the Moscow administration can put such a lie on paper is no longer surprising me. But the arrogance of sending such a warning to a newspaper, directly to the director general, to the entire newsroom, represents a signal that we must understand at its true value: Moscow's long hand will reach Bucharest!
