Bucharest left without the Circus

An absurd decision in which mayor Ontanu and prefect Mantale are guilty.

The story began a year ago when the mayor of the sector 2, Neculai Ontanu, put the Tonolla family into possession of the claimed field, and now the term for clearing the place has expired.

Brandusa Novac (director of the State Circus) blames Ontanu of doing everything in secret, without prior noticing the municipality, which spent hundreds of euros with the modernizing the spaces dedicated to shelter the animals. Ontanu blames the prefecture: “had I not given it back, I would have risked penal sanctions. I can be blamed in a newspaper, but I don’t want a penal dossier”.

The last hope resides in Mayor Adrian Videanu who will meet the owners and offer them an exchange. If an agreement is not reached, the Circus will lose its object of existence and eventually close.
