Dacia Logan has new shapes

"The square" got rounder, in order to fit the new design line of Dacia, created with the launch of Sandero, and keeps the same prices.

Dacia launched, yesterday, the restyled version of the model Logan sedan, at the same prices of the actual Logan and with a series of novelties like emergency breaking assistance, modifiable steering wheel, three guarantee and a glasses support. It's not a revolutionary change of the car's appearance, but more of a refreshment of the look. "For the moment, we haven't decided any price increases, but this doesn't means that in the following years the price will remain unchanged", said Dacia's general manager, François Fourmont.

The restyled Logan sedan is available in four equipment versions and five motorization versions. The basis price of the type is 6.400 euro, while the 85 horse power diesel, the best performing Logan, it is sold with 10.700 euro.

Another versions are the gas engines of 1,4 l and 75 HP, 1,6 liters - 90 HP and 1,6 l - 105 HP, and the diesel engines of 1.5 l with 70 HP and 85 HP.

The new Dacia Logan can be ordered from today on and will replace the "square" version, as the auto analysts described it, the one available on the market now. The "old style" Logan has stopped being produced at the middle of June.

Longer than its predecessor

As design, Dacia says that modifications were made to the area where the new logo of the brand is placed, at the optic blocks and front bumper. The rear of the car suffered modifications also: the trunk door can have a chromed brand in the lower side, and the protection bumper was redesigned. The new Dacia Logan is 4.29 meters long, 4 centimeters long than the previous type.

Emergency breaking assistance, and the adjustable hight of the steering wheel and the three guarantee are characteristics "loaned" from Sandero, available on the market in the next days.

The new mirrors were borrowed from the Logan break type, being larger. The inside of the care is slightly modified, to have a more modern look.

Dacia makes money from exports

Despite the launch of Sandero and of the new Logan, Dacia's sales on the Romanian market will stay constant next year and will not exceed 110.000 units, according to Fourmont's estimations. In exchange "the mass" of the sales are made on the foreign markets. "Three quarters of Dacia's sales will be made by exports, while on the Romanian market we will have a stable presence", explained Dacia's director.

In the world, 530.000 units under the Dacia logo were sold since 2004, the year of the model's release. Renault representatives mentioned that the entire range of Dacia will benefit from restylings in the future, including the pick-up and the truck.
