Romanians will no longer to smoke in cafes, bars, restaurants or at their work place.
Smoking will be banned in al public spaces as of July 1,2008. At the same time the Romanian authorities, will launch an aggressive anti-smoking campaign, according to heath minister, Eugen Nicolaescu.
he also said that the term is an optimistic one and that most probably, Romania will need a transition period of up to five years until the respective measures can be enacted.
As of Janury1, this year, the ministry banned any kind of cigarettes commercial. However, tobacco companies are ingenious in trying to advertise their products. One of the most used methods is that of launching mobile messaging advertisements.
