Victims of the communism have been waiting for 17 years to have justice done for them.
The government will adopt in September a law project through which all the persons condemned to prison by political criteria or subject to other repressive measures, will be rehabilitated and will have the right to ask for compensations from the Romanian state.
The Minister of Justice Tudor Chiuariu announced that the project refers to 3 categories of victims of the communist regime.
First there are those imprisoned after being accused of various crimes against the new social order established by the communist regime. Another category is represented by those who were victims of administrative measures of Militia or the Security; the third category has people enquired and convicted for actions incriminated today also, but who, in reality, suffered after standing against the communist regime.
