PD leaders, prepared to assume the governing themselves, are pushed from behind by the president to bring Theodor Stolojan to the Victoria Palace. The head of state did not have an official position on this theme, but he sent his counselor, Sebastian Lazaroiu, to make public lobby for a PD-PLD government.
In spite of this, the PD leaders are not very enthusiastic about the presidential plans for PLD. The democrats are not in a hurry to make the relationship with Stolojan official. Moreover, they are ready to assume the governing themselves, with the argument that PLD must be confirmed by vote first.
