The power negotiator of UDMR combined efficiently politics with business, gaining on both plans. He is one of the most influent people, with an estimated fortune of 55 million dollars, and started to grow immediately after 1990.
He oriented towards politics, being one of the UDMR founding members, but also started a financial empire beginning with lumber business. He did not stop here, entering also agriculture and chemical products business, alcohol, communications, transports, mass media, real estate and last, financial investments on the capital market.
