The hunters from Brasov say that they have shot the bear that had terrorized the area, but advise the tourists to be careful.
Zarnesti was under siege this weekend. Police, DSV and animal control cars were patrolling the area. While the bear that killed a man and attacked other persons was killed, the locals complain that all this agitation is driving away the tourists.
The local authorities advise not to go on nocturnal walks through the woods. The area is very dangerous, Caldararu Iancu, the man who was found killed by the bear did the wrong thing. Iancu had emotional problems and at many times he would go walking in the woods at night, and this is what killed him.
