Teofan, Moldavia’s new elected bishop!

The Romanian Patriarch's former rival was elected a Bishop of Moldavia and Bucovina during the largest elections that took place in the Romanian Orthodox Church since 1990.

His Holiness Teofan was elected with 32 votes for and 13 against and he defeated, in the second tour, His Holiness Casian and His Holiness Ioan, who were favorites of the Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
