Government Protocol Car, Stuffed With Heroine

Mechanics discovered a pack of heroine worth some EUR9 million ina Government protocol car.

The narcotics were hidden between the backseat in tens of half a kilo packs.

The car belonged to some Turkish citizens caught trying to smuggle drugs  at Nadlac Customs  in 2002 when police only discovered 60 kilos , the other half remaining hidden.

Police officers brought the car at the Romanian Police headquarters where it remained “in peace” for one year without anyone remembering that it was the scene of a crime.

It finally reached the Finance Ministry through a Court order and ended up at the Government’s Secretariat General. The car underwent several missions with Government officials until in February this year, at a routine check, mechanics found the hidden pack.
