After the wave of expenses of fuel prices that started at the beginning of the year, Lukoil is lowering, today, the prices in its 300 gas stations from Romania.
This could attract a trend of price decreases among other oil companies. At Lukoil, a liter of diesel will cost 8 bani less, and a liter of gas will be cheaper with 3 bani, the decision being motivated by the "conjuncture of the international oil quotations".
Yesterday, the price of the oil barrel was of 126 dollars, after two weeks ago it reached 135 dollars. The international quotations have stopped because of the strengthening of the dollar in front of the euro and on the basis of reduced transactions following the large incomes of the traders from the record value of oil prices.
Asked if the Lukoil decision can push a trend among the Romanian oil companies, Dan Pazara, Petrom's spoke person, said that "Petrom's prices are given by the international quotations for oil products, but te local or regional factors are also taken into consideration".
