Mircea Marian: "Those who laughed when they heard that Tudor Chiuariu is the new spokesman for the PNL had rushed to do so."
In my opinion, the man is fitting very well with the new generation that liberals are promoting in politics. Florin Calinescu, for example, who announced that he wants to become a Schwarzenegger of the Romanian politics. He was better in the role of Securitatea agents in the film "Balance". A second-hand actor with second-hand business, sly and proud, which has a simple and coherent program: if elected, he will go out "for drinks with all Senators and Deputies from Arges". Obvous, if we think that Nicu Văcăroiu is an Arges Senator. Or life partner of Ms. Chifiriuc, the poor remaining of the one after who the women from APACA screamed with passion: " We do not want Kent, coffee, currency / We want Roman to ...". He was so desperate to chew (again) on the bone of power that has agreed to be the humble henchmen of Dorin Marian, even if it holds the astounding (and futile) ranking of "high representative of the government for the Romanians from abroad."
Roman is added to the group PDL deserters, some anonymous parliamentarians who do not have any merit other than that, hidden under Tariceanu's wing, are swearing their former master. Some of them have received consistent rewards for their betrayal: the former leader of the youth organization of PD, Liviu Nistoran, was made chief over the regulatory authority in communications. Unfortunately for him, it seems that his appointment was illegal, so he will have to give his place to the former chairman Dan Georgescu.
Chiuariu is the most appropriate image of this menagerie, which has only two common elements - hatred against Basescu's desire to keep, for more time, the control of budgetary resources. The fact that dwarf with the sharp voice of the lord Alexandru Ioan Cuza will get to speak on behalf of the historic Liberal Party shows to what kind of electorate has focused Calin Popescu-Tariceanu's team. PNL no longer expects votes from those who have patience to follow, on television, the aberrations of Tudor Chiuariu. If you do not have anything else better to do, take a look over the video blog of this character: he was simply to lazy to record an original message, so he took a monotonous speech, held at an ordinary seminar, he cut it into several parts and thrown it on the site. But PNL gave up a long time ago to have a message to his traditional electorate, well-educated and, usually, in urban areas. With pensions, croissants, milk and honey, the survivors of the Brătianu family policies bought the votes of those who, until 2004, adored Ion Iliescu. These people are interested in elections only as far as the electoral campaign means that they will receive free bags of flour, sugar and oil. And I'm quite convinced that PNL will not disappoint any of them in this regard. The party leaders have gathered, for four years, sufficient resources - to use an euphemism. Now, to be re-elected, they will throw some bits to the people.
