Dan Radu Rusanu, the puppeteer master at PNL

The liberal vice-president does not accept exposed functions, but he puts his men in key positions.

Dan Radu Rusanu is one of the discrete politicians of PNL. He is always at the top, but not in an obvious way, and he is always elected vice-president at each congress.

When the Tariceanu II government was formed, the premier proposed the Finance portfolio, but he refused it. He prefers to influence by putting middle men in important positions.

He admitted some of the relationships nominated as Carmen Radu, Daniel Chitoiu and Emil Negut, but he said that these were all professional, as PNL members. Especially, Rusanu admitted the support given to Ovidiu Ispir for the European Accounts Court.
