This year, Bucharest’s Stock Exchange or BVB awaits the listing of up to four foreign companies.
Three or four major companies including Transgaz and Erste Bank, may float on the Bucharest Stock Exchange or BVB and, another eight are expected in 2008, according to BVB’s general director, Stere Farmache.
”These are just figures that depend on the pending negotiations. Transgaz has the best chances to float by the end of the year”, Farmache said.
The floating of Erste Bank, Banca Comerciala’s ajority shareholder will most probably occur this fall. This will be the first foreign company to float on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
Transgaz will float some 10% of its shares on BVB.
Raiffeisen Capital&Investment was chosen for the consultancy regarding the operation. Two more companies may be floated this year, Dafora and Condmag, that are currently listed at the secondary market Rasdaq.
