A day after the consultations for the Cotroceni Palace on the theme of the recent expenses, Prime Minister Calin Popescu-Tariceanu complained yesterday, in the government session, that " it's tried" to blame the executive for the explosion of the gas and energy prices.
"I observed that it is tried to find a culpable for the increase of the prices, and this is the government. The government doesn't settles the prices, the market does", said Tariceanu.
The Prime Minister urged "those who are commenting that the government takes electoral or populist measures to look at what the European community is doing for the unfavored categories, in order to close this discussion and to be understood once and for all that the social responsibility it is not for just one party".
The reply came a day after, at the discussions from Cotroceni between President Basescu and the parties, the politicians had thrown the responsibility on the executive.
Social assisted - from 4 to 11 millions
Without Tariceanu at the consulting, Basescu asked the attending ministers , Varujan Vosganian and Paul Pacuraru, to take measures "destined to the poor population", nut to be tempered with the electoral gifts that "could have a direct effect the further endangerment of the national economy". "Let it be clear. We are not being populist, but only addressing to the unfavored categories", answered yesterday Tariceanu.
A refractory attitude to Basescu's critics was tried at Cotroceni by Paul Pacuraru. "We are not taking such measures. The proposals are coming from the parliament", the minister passed the responsibility.
Asked by Basescu how many social assisted currently has the government compared to the time when it took over the term, as consequence of the populist decisions, Pacuraru was forced to admit that their numbers grew from 4 millions to 11 millions.
