Romanian State Makes Sinister Mistake

For a few years, authorities kept looking for Mihai Ciotina, a Timisoara citizen  who died 18 years ago.

The child, who died 18 years ago at the age of 2, was fined, called for conscription and the referendum as authorities never knew he was dead.

On Saturday, the family made a grim discovery:  Mihai's name was also on the list of the referendum, being listed as the only person without an ID serial number.

“We want to forget. My brother died  when he was 2 years old, in ‘89. We have a death  certificate  and they keep fining him from eth police or coming to recruit him in the army. I do not understand why don’t they leave us alone!”, said  Mihaela, the boy’s sister.
