Representatives of the Authority for the State's Actives Development (AVAS), quoted by Mediafax, stated that the future power producing company will have a market value of about 20 to 24 billions euro (between 28 and 33.6 billion dollars) and a profit prediction of 800 millions euro.
The company elaborated by the minister Varujan Vosganian could be more profitable than Britain's Rolls Royce Group, which has a smaller market value (15.7 billion dollars) compared to our company. The "mammoth-company" will be placed in the first 250 companies of the world, according to the rankings published by "Forbes" in the top 2.000 largest companies of the globe.
Also, it will be among the first 500 companies, with net earnings of 1.27 billion dollars. Close to the "power-mammoth" could be found multi-national companies like Alpha Bank or the Austrians of Erste Bank.
COMPONENCE The plans are exceeding the reality
The future power producing company will be formed from Hidroelectrica, Electrica and the power plants from Turceni and Rovinari. The company's profit estimations to 800 millions euro by 2012 seems unrealistic. Last year, the largest profit of a power producing company was recorded by Hidroelectrica: 33.5 millions euro. The motivation for the ex-Conel refounding is to create a company that will be capable to participate to international projects and reduce the electric power costs for small consumers.
