Bogdan Olteanu was accused by prosecutors of tampering with justice. Magistrates sent a complaint to the CSM Council.
After Libearal justice minister Tudor Chiuariu was accused of interfering with justice, another Liberal was accused of the same crime .
The notification was sent to the Superior Magistrates Council or CSM by Romania’s General Attorney, Laura Codruta Kovesi, after Olteanu, president of the House of Deputies reproached her the fact that she refused to allow four prosecutors and two police officers be disciplined by a Parliamentary Committee.
On a demanding tone, Olteanu asked Kovesi to send the six to the Comitee saying that members within the judiciary are obligated to come if the Pasrliament requests it, in other words, implying the Parliament has control over the judiciary.
