EVZ EDITORIAL: Mona Musca, the evidence of the impotence of the justice

Ioana Lupea: "Mona Muscă is the only politician former informer of the Securitatea under the rigors of the law, until end."

Paradoxically, but just the unstoppable promptness with which justice makes its duty in this particular case is a proof of its impotence. If Mona Muscă would have remained in the parliament as Rodica Stănoiu or would have been a red oligarch like Dan Voiculescu, most likely the file would have been sent from one court to another until the Greek calenders. Unlike all the other stained politicians, Mona Muscă, who resigned from all public and political functions, became an ordinary man, in the face of who justice which has no kind of complex. Justice is divided in Romania only for simple citizens.

The justice pronounced in the case of Mona Muscă a final judgment of collaboration with the Securitatea at only 7 months from the CNSAS verdict, given in September 2006. On 14 august 2008, the Prosecutors Office triggered against them the criminal prosecution, for saying, falsely, that she did not made political police. From the CNSAS decision regarding the collaboration of Dan Voiculescu with the Securitatea under the name "Felix" have past two years and three months, and the dossier is moved between courts. The last finding for the postponement was that the judges do not have the certificate that allows them access to secret documents, although they are, according to the law, public. The plaintiff's name on the cover of the dossier inhibited not only the simple judges, but also those of the Constitutional Court which decided as unconstitutional the CNSAS law, giving precious time to the collaboration officials. The justice is also powerless in front of the former Minister of Justice Rodica Stănoiu, code named Paula, from whose verdict of informer will be in December two years and whose dossier was stuck in a graphology survey.

While the employee of the Securitatea, the political partner of PSD and the owner the Antennas is untouchable, Mona Muscă, who withdrew from public life, is paying dearly the informations given to the Securitatea when he was a professor for foreign students. Actually, the former political leader is paying the communist sins of the officials and colleagues who were officers and informants of the Securitatea, who continue undisturbed their political career, with chances to be present at the uninominal vote. Very soon, perhaps even before the parliamentary elections, the CNSAS will be transformed by the parliamentarians handled by Ion Iliescu and Dan Voiculescu in a certain research institute under the Academy of Romania. The deconspirator of informants will end with only one people guilty, declared as such by the justice: Mona Muscă.

The irony: Mona Muscă could be saved from the criminal conviction for forgery and use of false even by Dan Voiculescu. The sentence of "political police" in the statement submitted to the parliament, the prosecutors evidence, disappeared with together with the CNSAS law declared unconstitutional after the notice made by the lawyers of Dan Voiculescu.
