The reference rate announced by National Bank of Romania (BNR) fell to 3.4719 lei / euro, a new minimum of the year, following the sale orders of foreign currency emitted by local investors. The course is 0.44 lei lower than the rate published Wednesday, of 3.4763 lei / euro. A lower level than that of yesterday was calculated by BNR on 24 December 2007, when one euro was quoted at 3.4673 lei.
