Basescu, at OSCE, regarding discrimination

The president participated today at a conference of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, where the main theme was eradicating discrimination.

I hope that the comeback of Romania among the European countries would guarantee the respect for the Romanians. We have the obligation that every citizen feels respected, said Basescu during his speech.

He also said that every state must have active mechanisms for eradicating discrimination, xenophobia and racism, and said that our country has one of the most complete legislations regarding the rights and protection of the minorities.

I think that the society is a democratic one if every person’s right is respected, said Traian Basescu.
