“The Vatican doesn’t acknowledge Kosovo as a state”

The Romanian Ambassador at Vatican, Marius Lazurca, has given an interview to EVZ. His Excellency speaks of his relationship with the Pope and of how important it is that Romania shares the Vatican’s opinion regarding the newly created state of Kosovo.

The Ambassador explains, for EVZ, how important are the diplomatic relations between Romania and the Vatican and reveals the fact that the Pope doesn’t recognize the newly proclaimed independence of Kosovo, even if there is no official statement upon the matter.

The fact that Romania’s opinion is shared by the Vatican is fundamental in the relationship between the two states, says his Excelency Marius Lazurca.

Also, it’s very likely that President Traian Basescu would have an official visit, this year, at the Vatican.
