Soc-Gén goes to trial in 2009

Delay. The investigations on the five billions euro fraud at the French bank Société Générale could be finalised by this year's summer, and the case could go to trial in 2009, according to "International Herald Tribune".

During the last two months, the judges heared tens of former or actual employees of Société Générale. The bank announced, on the 24 of January, losses of almost seven billions euro, 4.9 billions of which caused by unauthorized transactions made by the bank's trader, Jêrome Kerviel.
