Participants at the funeral mass held for the Italian woman killed by a Romanian immigrant protested against illegal Romanian immigrants.
Vanessa Russo, a 23 year old saleswoman was stabbed to death with the point of an umbrella by a Romanian illegal immigrant who claimed to have only defended.
The funeral was held in Rome and Italy’s Mayor declared a day of of mourning in the memory of the dead woman. The buildings around the neighborhood where the woman lived displayed banners with the words : „Adios, Vanessa, innocent victim of a barbaric crime”.
The Romanian immigrant face prison for life, if the Court decides it was murder and not an accident.
