After 7 months of negotiations, Patriciu sold 75% of a company estimated at 3.6 billion dollars. The Kazakhs are the ones who announced the transactions first, while at Bucharest the companies in which Rompetrol Group is a share holder were being played on the stock market.

Richer with 2.16 billion dollars, Patriciu will keep control of 25% of the entire holding and will also continue to run the group as president and general manager

The acquisition of 75% from Rompetrol represents the biggest private transaction ever to take place in Romania.
